The event begins at 6 PM with a lively Cocktail Hour, giving you the chance to mingle with master distillers Ron Call and his son, Clayton Call, from Papa’s Pilar Rum and Hemingway Rye Whiskey.

The Spirits:

Blonde: Papa’s Pilar Blonde is the first ever “Blonde” Rum, similar in color to the light rums Papa Hemingway enjoyed in Key West and Cuba during the 30’s. Tasting notes of bright citrus, almond, fresh apricot, and fine butterscotch make this a perfect rum for your Hemingway Daiquiri, boat drink or tiki cocktail. This exceptionally smooth blend represents the original spirit of rum.

Dark: Papa's Pilar Dark is an ultra-premium sipping rum, bold and well-traveled, much like the man who inspired it - Ernest Hemingway. This 86 proof, award-winning rum has a rich maple, chocolate, ripe fig and candied orange taste profile.

Rye Finished: Introducing the newest member of our flagship fleet: Rye-Finished Rum. Papa's Pilar Dark rum further finished in White Oak, heavy charred once-used straight Rye Whiskey barrels. At 86 proof, this blend features a long and warm finish with lingering notes of cacao and caramel.

Sherry-Finished: Papa's Pilar Sherry-Finished Rum is unlike anything Hemingway Rum Company has ever produced before. This dark rum blend is further aged in Spanish Oloroso Sherry casks for an extended period of time, creating a distinguished and complex flavor profile of decadent hazelnut, toffee, layered spice, and toasted oak.

Hemmingway Rye: This beautiful whiskey is a blend of 94% nine-year-old Indiana Straight Rye and 6% four-year-old Kentucky Straight Rye that is finished in in Papa’s Pilar-seasoned Oloroso Sherry Casks. This wider release in April 2023 follows the inaugural batch of First Edition bottles sold in collectors packaging which sold out a week after its fall 2022 launch.
