About the event

Pernod Ricard Whiskey Ambassador, Robert Ferrara will host what is sure to be an amazing bourbon-paired dinner with the crew from Copper Shaker, Ybor City. Robert will tell the story of this family’s long history in the bourbon industry, lead us in a tasting of the evening’s selections and answer all your bourbon questions. It’s going to be an opportunity to spend time with a true whiskey savant and get to know Jefferson’s. Cocktails for the evening will be crafted by our very own Juya Ebrahimi, and the amazing, paired dishes by Chef Anthony Decker. This is going to be a magnificent evening with a remarkable whiskey!

About the night:

6pm: Doors open for Cocktail Hour

Guests are encouraged to mingle with the staff, representatives from the brands, and each other while they enjoy their welcoming cocktail and a bountiful cheese & charcuterie spread.

645pm: Guests are encouraged to take their seats for the opening presentation and amuse-bouche.

7pm: First course is served, and your Spirited Dinner Series experience is underway!

1st Course

Eat: “Apricot & Fig”

Stracchino – Porchetta – Crystal Bun

Drink: “Florida Solstice”

Jefferson's Small Batch Bourbon – Hibiscus Tea Cordial – Seltzer – Summer Berries

A refreshing and fruity drink with tart & floral notes and a kick of Jefferson’s Bourbon.

2nd Course

Eat: “Key West Pink Shrimp”

Lobster & Cedar Key Clam Broth – Sweet Onion – Poached Golden Potato

Drink: “Sweet Harvest”

Jefferson’s Ocean Voyage Rye – Cherimoya – Cherry Cordial – Citrus – Guava

A curiously creamy, tropical drink with a delightful blend of fruity flavors, balanced by the spiciness of rye whiskey.

3rd Course

Eat: “Sunshine Beetroot Risotto”

Grilled Tuna – Humbolt Fog – Watercress

Drink: “Surf Spray” Jefferson’s Ocean Voyage Rye – Yuzu Kombu – Aperol – Carpano Bianco – Saline – Wasabi Sprouts – Carbonated

A unique effervescent cocktail that combines the bright citrus nots of Yuzu, sweet bitterness of Aperol, and a touch of briny complexity from Kombu.

4th Course

Eat: “Scallops & Strip”

Stuffed Tomato, Summer Beans, Sweet Corn

Drink: “Homesick Sailor” Jefferson’s Ocean Bourbon – Cognac Peach Cordial – Benedictine – Carpano Antica – Peach & Peychaud’s Bitters

A riff on the Classic Vieux Carré with Jefferson’s Ocean Bourbon, velvety sweetness of a peach cognac cordial and herbal notes of Benedictine. Carpano Antica adds depth, while the Peach and Peychaud’s enhance the fruity and aromatic elements of the cocktail.

Desert

Eat: “Sunflower Cake”

Stracciatella Mascarpone – Honey

Drink: “World’s Greatest Amaretto Sour” Jefferson’s Prichard Hill – Amaretto Disarono – Lemon – Egg White – Sugar

An intriguing twist on a classic cocktail, with wine-finished Jefferson’s Bourbon, and bittersweet lemon and sugar.

About Jefferson’s:

Founded in 1997, Jefferson's is the brainchild of Trey Zoeller and his father Chet, a famed bourbon historian. They were continuing a family tradition that goes back to Trey's 8th generation grandmother who was arrested in 1799 for the "production and sales of spirituous liquors." To personify the brand, they chose Thomas Jefferson known for his curiosity and experimental spirit. This is a mindset to which Trey has dedicated himself, pushing the boundaries of the definition of bourbon. Upholding tradition, yet always discovering new possibilities.
